Bachelor degree in Technology : Work time and salary management.
Admissions in the department of Company and Administration Management are bound to academic file for each candidate holder of a baccalauréat or equivalent foreign degree. Decision is determined by the following elements:
The board composed of teachers and professionals deliberate upon anonymous files.
The programme aims at:
Deepening general education, indispensable guarantee for future promotion and necessary foundation for adaptation to economic, technological, and social evolution; providing a general background in the field of administration
Most of the courses take place in the form of tutorials. Assessment of students is continuous.
Academic results and appreciation of each student are considered to pass from first to second year and to be awarded the diploma (D.U.T.).
The two year programme is based on a pedagogical approach intended to take in account three teaching orientations which are indispensable to be able to run an organisation:
The department traditional programme on offer responds to holders of the baccalaureat or foreign equivalent. It’s a two year course of 1620 hours of teaching. In the second year, the students may choose among three options:
The training period lasts 11 weeks.
An internship of at least 11 weeks closes the second year.
Entrusted a real problem of management, the students will demonstrate that they are capable of using their knowledge to make a clear analysis and thereafter to propose solutions which may actually be implemented by the firm.
An internship report is presented and defended before a jury composed of two teachers and the supervisor of the trainee in the host company.
Internships can take place abroad under certain conditions.
Tutored project:
Carried out in the first year by small groups of students, it leaves the group creative imagination and implies important work time outside normal class schedule. It takes place under the supervision of an instructor “tutor.” The following are examples of tutored projects:
Job opportunities are the primary targets of the DUT. Students holders of a D.U.T. find jobs quite quickly (average delay: 4 months) in all sectors (public and private) of economic life: industry, banking, insurance, administration, local governments.
Internal promotions can be spectacular.
Undertaking further studies is rather exceptional, but over half of successful graduates carry on a supplementary curriculum towards masters, business schools, and other public and private management schools.
Certain diplomas are directed towards teaching.
Holders of the DUT in Finance-Accounting and Small and Medium Organisations who have certain qualifications find careers in accounting.
